 Samos Greek School

 980€(one week)
1600€ (13 days)

Where do lessons take place & how do I get there?

Lessons take place in Mitilinii village, Samos, in a welcoming space specially arranged for our classes. Mitilinii is a traditional village in the heart of the island, offering an authentic and inspiring setting for learning.

You can reach Samos by plane (Athens–Samos flights take about 50 minutes) or by ferry from Piraeus and nearby islands.

You may choose to stay in Mitilinii itself for convenience, or commute daily by car from nearby towns or villages.

Where can I stay?

We offer accommodation in a shared house in the charming village of Mitilinii, or at a nearby hotel. Staying in the house is truly special—the small group lives, learns, and laughs together, sharing meals and spending time in the beautiful garden. It’s the perfect way to practice greek even more and have easy access to the teacher whenever you need.

What is included in the price?

  • 3 hours of lessons each day in small groups

  • Personalized booklet with exercises tailored to your needs

  • A notebook for your notes

  • All lesson materials and after-class support

  • Accommodation

  • 1 rented car for group activities

What's a Typical Day?

Mornings are dedicated to 3 hours of lessons in Mitilinii village, using personalized materials in a small-group setting. After class, we often head together to a beach, a local taverna, or a cultural site—but you’re also free to enjoy your own time. Evenings are relaxed, giving you space to unwind, join optional activities, or simply take in the beauty of the island.

Do I need to buy a book?

No need to buy a book! We prepare a small, personalized digital booklet with exercises tailored to your needs and weaknesses—perfect for the whole week. You’ll also receive a notebook to keep your own notes during Greek School.

Do I have free time?

Yes! After the morning lessons, we usually get ready and head out—to a beach, a taverna for lunch, or a museum—depending on how we feel that day. You’re always welcome to join the group, or you may choose to spend your time independently. The balance between learning and free time is yours to enjoy.

WHAT OUR STUDENTS SAY

K. H., Athens

3 hours of intense Greek in the morning and exploring the beautiful island of Samos in the afternoon and all it has to offer. That was the experience but it wouldn't be fair to leave it there.

Aliki managed to curate 2 weeks of Greek language and Greek culture in which each day was better than the one before it, each lesson made you want to learn more and get excited for what was to come. But the learning wasn't limited to the lessons alone, the locals were very friendly and patient, they would help out when needed and wait for you to find the right words you had learned the day before to place a simple order of Tostaki. And Aliki was always available to help out and encourage us to use everything we've learned even outside the lessons.

Highly recommended for anyone looking to experience the culture and the language and hopefully, just like me, encourage you to stick to it and improve.

T. S., Germany

Finally I made it to a review! Amazing! I started with a trial lesson, because I was frustraited after a course at the local school. It went very well, I was missing at least a bit of structure in the learning process and I got it here. No pressure, only good vibes. In summer I even joined the summer camp! Actually, it was chill, but helped a lot! Learning on a vacation in relaxed atmosphere is very different and I was used to it since young age. It was a great opportunity to refresh this memories and create a new ones! I even arrived directly from a work related trip and I sent my luggage in advance from Germany. It was kind of an adventure and everything went well! Thank you A&A for having me! Even today <3

C. D., USA

The experience on Samos is difficult to describe in words because it was so fantastic. Perfect amount of Greek school, exploring and learning Greek history and the culture of the island. The beaches were beautiful and the people so kind.

Most important is our teacher, Aliki. She created a supportive environment for the 5 of us to improve our Greek language skills. It included discipline, rigor and lots of fun. The small group was ideal for learning together. Aliki planned the perfect trip.

There was also a nice balance of things to do with many options each day. You could join the group for afternoon actives or explore the island on your own.

I highly recommend this trip for anyone who is interested in improving their Greek speaking skills and meeting new people from around the world.

G. V., Netherlands

I was never good at speaking Greek while living in the States even growing up in a Greek Family . However everything changed when I met Aliki and she started teaching me how to make small conversations. This summer she offered me to visit Samos one of the islands of Greece and have a first hand experience with Greek Culture .
I was skeptical about a lot of things before I move there but it was all worth it. Aliki was with us all the time helping me with any of my questions and concerns, We visited a lot of deferent villages, beaches and I get to experience home made local Greek food.
I definitely recommend anyone who wants to have an authentic memorable experience to join this group and see Greece from a different prospective.
